Query regarding baby food
My baby is 8 months + old. I've been thinking to introduce oats in her diet. Can I mix formula milk with boiled oats. Please suggest. Or should I mix mashed fruits like banana or apple with boiled oats. Please guide me.

Weight gain is important for the child at this age. If you want to give oats you might have to have use full cream milk or curd with it so it increases the calories for the child for necessary growth. Not formula milk. Better to give food which is rich in proteins or cereals like Raab, khichdi, dalia, dal-rice. Anything preferred should be like paste or puree. Introduce food in a step wise manner, don't rush to change the menu. At end of 9 months, child should preferably take 2 to 3 bowls of meals per day.
