Query ERYTHROCYTE SEDIMENTATION RATE(ESR
Hello Doctor, I am having a doubt please can you clarify? Normal range of ERYTHROCYTE SEDIMENTATION RATE (ESR) in male is 0-20mm/hr , after undergone ERYTHROCYTE SEDIMENTATION RATE (ESR) test ,in test I found ESR rate 27 mm/hr which is 7 mm/hr more than normal range (20mm/hr ). 1) Is their any problem if i have such extra 7mm/hr than normal range 20mm/hr 2) Why do we get more ESR rate? That little raise is normal. There are several conditions where the esr may get raised. Commonly any inflammation in the body can raise the ESR. But a raise of this much is not something to worry upon itself.
