Can you get N Fowleri infection if you have water in your mouth and you breathe in or blow your nose gently? Does the water travel to upper regions of nasal cavity and the olfactory nerves this way? The water we use here in our native place is not chlorinated and is drawn from own underground water connection from like 110-120 feet below using a Jet motor pump and stored in Overhead tank kept on terrace. It is summer and so am worried after reading about it.

Contaminated water can cause any infection and not just N. fowleri but it doesn’t travel the nose the way you are describing.
It usually occurs by swimming in infected water. Try covering the overhead tank so that the temperature of water is optimised
