Quantiferon Tb gold +
I had to take a PPD or quantiferon tb gold test as prescribed in health form for college admission in US. The result came as positive from lal pathlabs in quantiferon with 1.26 IU/ml antigen tube and 0.04 IU/ml nil tube. I am concerned, should I get another test done? I have no issues as such that I feel am suffering from like cough or persistent fever. Would doing a PPD test be helpful or give a different report? Kindly advise.

Quantiferon tb gold can be positive in latent tb as well. Most of indians have latent tb bacteria in their body. so it can be positive even when you dont have symptoms or suffering from active tb. You need not repeat the test. But when you will reach US they might start you on treatment for latent tb.
