Pus filled BOIL on face
There's a pus filled very painful boil on my face for last 4-5 days. I saw a doctor. He gave me 2 antibiotics and an ointment to apply for 3 days. I followed the same, but no results. I went to see the doctor again, he told me to go to hospital. Does it need a surgery? Will it leave scar? I am really really very afraid of the pain and the about the fact that it will leave scars after the surgery? What to do? Please suggest.

Hi You seem to be having a furuncle. You need to take proper course of antibiotics. Avoid any steroid applications or hot water soaks.
