Pulses through body and blurry vision

Asked for Female, 20 Years

I have been experiencing sudden pulses (like a sudden rush of blood/electricity through my body) and a fainting feeling that comes with it. I feel weak and tired. When it happens my eyes blur. The first time it happened it was like a electric shock starting behind my eyes and following through my body. Enough to keep me from sleeping. This started the day before my period started and a friend suggested that it is iron deficiency. Please help?? I am getting very worried. I am female, 20 years old
