Psychiatric treatment
Hi doctor , my mother is hospitalised in last 10 days for psychiatric treatment. But problem is now she have heart problem also that's reason Dr not started ECT. She also not took medicine but sister give her directly to mouth. 3 times he try to suicide when she at home.
What we do now because of heart problem No ECT start.
When she become normal?
I m also middle class family so private hospital not affordable.
Please suggest.

Actually der r no absolute contraindications for ECT. So ur mother's heart condition shud not be a barrier for ECT administration. If r worried abt ur mother health n if she's still suicidal den take a 2nd opinion from some other senior consultant for ECT treatment.
