My father has been detected with Foci of Adinocarcinoma ( Gleason score 6 ) Grade 3+3 Group Grade 1 involving less than 10percent of all the cores submitted. doctor suggested that let him be in active surveillance & no need for further treatment as he is 80 years of age and any treatment may have side effects.he is safe for another 5-10 years.is it the right approach .pl advice

Active surveillance is the best option at that age unless the patient is absolutely fit to undergo robotic radical prostatectomy.
