Prolonged period issue
I have faced prolonged period issue in some month...sometime I take progestone to stop .my ultrasound says I have a fibroid of 2 cm..but when I asked any doctor is it becaz of that...they always said no..this time doctor suggested me to do Vitamin D test...where we got the it's 9.1 which is significantly low ..I have read somewhere that very low vitamin D leads to hormonal imbalances which cause periods issue ..I am still confused what is the exact cause of happening such...if any one can clear my confusion.

Fibroids are the most common cause of prolonged menorrhagia ( prolonged or heavy menstrual flow) follow up with gynaecologist and follow his/her instructions clearly. Vitamin d may cause hormonal imbalance but I doubt it in your case, as there is an existing condition directly affecting it.
Next Steps
follow up with gynaecologist
Health Tips
repeat USG abdomen and get a pap smear
