Problem of Male-pattern Baldness
I consulted a doctor before and got the following information. I am at the initial stage of male-pattern baldness. I have hairfall of more than an avg. of 50-100 hairs/day. I have a dry scalp and feel very itchy at the top part of my head. Recently i shaved off all my hair on head. Temporarily hairfall stopped but when it grew back after 3 months, the hairfall is starting again. Please help me with how should i go about it and what medicines should i take?

How is shaving the treatment for male pattern  baldness, think logically. You will not even see the hairloss if the hairs are very small. You are suffering from tinea cruris which is fungal infection of the inner thighs and buttocks area. It can be treated by taking four to six weeks of anti fungal treatment which includes tablets along with creams. Do not use soap over that area. Mistreatment with over the counter Steroid containing creams like fourderm, panderm, quadriderm, hh zole, candid b etc lead to repeated case of recurrence and also side effects due to application. Do not use steroid containing combination creams. Please call me or contact me using online consult option with photos for detailed prescription. Do not delay treatment as it may spread further on your body and also to other people living in the household. If you keep shaving, you will not even know that hairs are falling.
