Probable Hepatocellular carcinoma
My father is having chronic liver disease due to alcoholic liver disease. As advised by doctor the blisters are appearing on both ends of liver and might also be blocking some artery. Is this treatable, and which methodology have most survival chances.

Cirrhosis of Liver Sx – skin changes, pruritus, hepatomegaly, malaise, asterix, spider angioma, jaundice, fatigue. PE – Skin - yellow. Abd - distended, caput medusa. Liver - hepatomegaly. Eyes - icterus. Extremities.
Next Steps
Dx – Admit to Hospital for full diagnostic Work-Up and referral to Hepatologist. • CBC - Thrombocytopenia, leukopenia. CMP (AST, ALT, Alk Phos, Bili), GGT. Lipids, Hepatitis panel, Coags (PT/PTT/INR). Abdomen Ultrasound. Imaging U/S or CT, GI consult, Liver Bx.
Health Tips
Tx – No alcohol, no NSAIDS. Nutrition consult, Paracentesis and diuretics for ascites. Hep C, Ribavirin, lamivudine. Encephalopathy – lactulose, neomycin.
