Pregnancy scan-fetal cystic lesion
I'm 34 weeks pregnant and a recent color Doppler scan report says that there's a well defined cystic lesion in fetal abdomen and fetal pelvic cavity of size 39*35mm. PFA the report. What does this mean and what would be the way ahead for this? Is this a reason to worry and how can this be treated?

Sometimes, fetal abdominal cysts go away on their own before birth and don't require treatment. At other times, some newborns require surgery (cystectomy) to remove a cyst causing symptoms. If we can't remove a cyst completely, we may drain it or remove portions.
