Lonopin is Low molecular Heparin. It is used when we suspect coagulation disorders, mainly going towards hyper-coagulation. Lonopin will prevent hyper-coagulation. It is used in patients with bad Obsetetric history. Once we start Lonopin we continue for almost full duration of pregnancy. It is monitored by periodic testing of coagulation profile. It is stopped about 48 hours before Caesarean.
