My wife is carrying second kid and she is having schizophrenia, currently in 18th week pregnancy and not taking any medication for schizophrenia. She was suggested to take Riscon plus tab on every night. Is it fine to go ahead with taking Riscon plus tablet ? Regards, Basavaraj

Sir, Pregnancy has greater risk of psychiatric illness and a careful monitoring is required. So please go ahead with your doctor's advice with regular foetal monitoring by gynecologist. Please be under regular follow up during and after pregnancy, with your psychiatrist. Don't stop or change the medicine by yourself
