Pregnancy (20w scan)
Hello doctor. I am 23 weeks pregnant with no complications. During my 20 week scan my placenta was found to be posterior, left lateral and low lying and lower limit is 1.8cm from internal OS. I am taking my progesterone tablets. Recently i have been quarantined in my room which is in first floor i used to come down for my meals n snacks. Is it safe for me to climb stairs often? Around 5 to 6 times per day? What are all the precautionary measures that i should take?

Low lying placenta in 90% of the cases shifts up as your uterus grows. So in repeat scan we can expect it to be normal in position. For the time being you can continue with your progesterone supplements, can do normal activities, avoid long journeys, avoid heavy lifting, intercourse. And if in repeat scan the placenta doesn't goes up, a caesarean delivery is indicated.
