Postnasal drip from allergies
Recently I've found that whenever I catch a cold or am dealing with allergies, instead of starting with a runny nose it just goes down my throat. I feel like my nose is almost always partially blocked and whenever my body creates extra snot it goes right down my throat! This is causing severe pain when I swallow anything especially thing licquids like water. Thanks for your help!

It is normal to have post nasal Drip during acute infection of the nose and usually it will cause throat infection eventually. If your symptoms are recurrent and you have persistent nose block then you may be suffering from chronic rhinosinusitis. Confirmation of diagnosis is done by diagnostic nasal endoscopy and CT scan of paranasal sinuses. Treatment depends on diagnosis
