Post surgery
My mother underwent a laproscopic vault prolapse surgery (sacro pexy) one month ago. She had fever for couple of weeks and after that fever subsided. But after a week of surgery, she developed a severe pain in her right hip. When we contacted the dr, he said bcos of the position during surgery, many patients suffer from this and said that it will subside slowly. Its been a month now, but the pain has not subsided. She is not on any medication. What should be done? Consult a orthopaedist or wait for the pain to subside?

The pain in right hip is most likely due to surgery, per se. Some nerve near the site of surgery is likely to be affected. The person who has done the surgery will be the best person to answer. In case, you have not consulted the concerned surgeon recently, it is better to consult him/ her. Otherwise, consult Neurophysician/ Orthopedician.
