I had undergone gamma knife radiosurgery on 2017 for choroidal plexus avm in the right temporal horn in lateral ventricle.I had no sezires or bleeding in AVM. I had only headache for years. Gamma knife radiosurgery was done as precaution. After the radiosurgery doctors asked to follow up at 6 months interval. In all previous scans, doctors said that there was good recovery and gliosis. How long will it take for avm to shrink completely? i know Gliosis is scar formation due to radiosurgery but how long will it continue. I am currently on levepil 500mg. MRI was taken yesterday. I had uploaded the report. Can please say how is the progress. Looking forward for your breif answer.

Gamma knife is powerful radiation which will minimally damage the normal ( not very important part of brain ) during treatment course and will cause scarring ( gliosis ) it will be there through out life , it wont cause any problem but i think u might have to take the levipil for a little longer time
Gamma knife is very good treatment and takes care of avm pretty well as per the location told by u
U can also involve some international neurosurgeon / intervention radiologist in your treatment for opinion
Dont know the reason for your headache
