Exactly a year ago underwent laparoscopic right extended hemicolectomy for carcinoma of the ascending colon and hepatic flexure with mesocolic lymph node involvement. This was followed by 12 cycles of FOLFOX chemotherapy combined with targeted therapy (Bevacizumab). The most recent CT scan in May 2025 showed no residual or recurrent disease, and Despite stable imaging, experiencing abdominal pain, peri-anal pain, and sometime vomit loose motion. Advices for semen culture and medications (Nitrofurantoin).
i want to know if abdominal pain and rectum pain can be due to semen infection???

Hi there, your radioimaging is not suggesting residual/ recurrence.
Nitrofurantoin is used mostly in UTI that is urinary tract infections.
I think they would have advised urine routine ,culture and sensitivity.
If your symptoms are acute ,it is most likely infection.
So, don't worry ,loose motions vomiting are quite possible after infection and are side effects of antibiotics too.
My concern is at the age of 29 ,you had a major surgery and treatment.
Are you having any family history or is your diet lacking fibre completely?
