Poor swallowing due to Parkinsons
Hi, Please let me know if there is any other way of feeding to a patient with poor swallow reflex due to Parkinsons other than peg tube. Is there any other mechanism by which a patient can be fed so that he does not aspirates into lungs?

It is unfortunate, PEG tube can prevent aspiration during swallowing... It can maintain nutrition. But even a peg wont stop aspiration, as food may return to mouth from stomach or swallowing saliva can lead to aspiration
