Platelets count 5.38 lakhs/cumm
My mother aged 52 admitted to hospital and take treatment for fever. Final diagnosis says : eatenic fever, acute febric illness Through blood report , came to know White blood cell count : 12300 cells/cumm Platelests count : 5.38 lakhs/cumm What could be problem of this ? Is this a serious problem and needs to consult hemotologist

Get a widal test done.  Wbc  count goes up when there is high fever,  so don't worry and consultation with haematologist is not required.
