The treatment of acne differs according to the grade of involvement. Some people have more oilyness on the face which results in breakouts. After completing treatment for controlling the active breakouts, tablets can be stopped and creams need to be continued to prevent recurrence. Diet and lifestyle modifications are also important. Just the creamy wash is not enough treatment for controlling acne. If you visited a qualified dermatologist you must have also been advised other treatment along with that. Some of the treatments for acne can cause an initial flare so it is possible. However need to know the details of the medication. Hope this is helpful.
