Pigmented scar on nose
I had a enjury in my childhood from mischief childran. I got a injury on my nose which resulted into pigmented scar. I went to dermatologist 6 years back, he performed pixel laser for it. But the improvement did not take place. Finally i opt for scar excission surgery. For few months scar looks minimum. But over the period of time scarstretched and again it looks pigmented.
Now i went to dermatologist for this scar. They suggest ultrapulse laser treatment for it which cost around Rs 20000. They suggest 3 sittings. Docter tell there will be 30 to 40 % improvement in scar.
Is this is the right treatment for such pigmented scar.

Lasers (scar removal) help. But it all depends on what your expectations are. How realistic they are? Please understand that once your skin (Dermis) gets damaged it is unfortunately permanent. So any treatment henceforth will not make your skin scar 'free ' . There will always be a hint of it. As for pigmented scar, many times if the pigmentation is treated the scar fades and is not noticeable. Without a photo of your current scar it is difficult to say whether what has been suggested will work or not. Hope this has helped.
