If you go through my question/answer sessions you will get a detailed discussion regarding hepatomegaly ( increase in liver size ) and fatty liver. In all probability you don't have to worry about this. Stop taking alcohol and don't take any drugs which can cause liver impairment. ( Consult doctor ). Hepatomegaly with grade 1 fatty infiltration of the liver with a normal liver function as you have stated is only an ultrasound finding. And we don't treat reports, we treat the patient. The ultrasound was done while you were fasting, so a partially distended gall bladder is a normal finding. After all you don't have gall bladder stones, so why worry ? The mild right upper abdominal pain you are having is not of grave significance, though I need to check you clinically before arriving at a final conclusion. Regularise your food habits especially breakfast or brunch. Avoid smoking and alcohol to a minimum/stop altogether.
Next Steps
If the right upper abdominal pain is persistent and disabling you might need a upper GI endoscopy to rule out peptic ulcers/erosions.
Health Tips
I think you will do very well if you follow my instructions and nothing more needs to be done. You may try newer antacids like Pantoprazole 40 for 1 to 2 months and see the difference along with a liquid antacid for first 15 days. I wouldn't worry if I were you. Avoid NSAID pain killers like diclofenac or ibuprofen. May use paracetamol. In any case contact me on my mobile.
