Periportal lymph nodes
In January, a routine ultrasound showed hypo to anechoic lesions in pancreas head. My doctor told me to get a MRCP done. It showed prominent periportal lymph nodes about 12 mm. (Nothing in pancreas)The doctor said it was nothing.
Now again the scan showed hypoechoic lesions and again I had an MRCP done. The reports say the periportal nodes are now 9mm. (Again nothing in pancreas)
I am yet to meet the doctor, but I am very worried. Can someone please explain what this means.

Instead of MRCP u need to get a Pancreatic protocol CECT abdomen scan.
Meanwhile need more details as to whether you have any symptoms such as pain , weight loss, jaundice etc.
