Perianal Abcess I&D - Pus Discharge
I had perianal Abcess Incision and Drainage 5 days back which was in size about 15mm x 10 mm in size at 6 o clock position and i am in Antibiotics with Augmentin duo1000mg for the past 5 days, but i am starting to notice good amount of puss discharge from the surgery site since last 3 days, no pain or redness in the surrounding areas, is it normal after the surgery or it is a issue to have puss discharge? After I&D ? No fistula tract or fistula found during surgery

Usually after I&D wound is open and whatever pus is there will be drained out. But if drainage incision is not adequate then pus goes on draining for longer time. Check with your surgeon who has done I & D Fistula can be detected after 6 weeks of I& D.
