Pcos, Thyroid
Hi Doctor. I have a pcos from last few years, recently i have got my TSH test done. Its 5.5. Is it normal? I have been visiting gynaecologist but I am now confused. Shall i start my treatment from her or shall i now consult endocrinologist? Since i have both PCOS and Thyroid (5.5 level) please help. Thanks.

5.5 is borderline... No need of treatment now keep checking it once in 3 months...You should decrease carbohydrate intake, take foods made-up of whole grains like whole wheat bread, Decrease fat intake and increase protein content. Take high fiber diet, fruits, vegetables but avoid starchy vegetables like potatoes. Take plenty of water avoid sugar drinks....
