Seems GERD-Gastro-esophageal reflux disease. There can be some ulcers in your food pipe due to acid reflux coming up through the patulous GE junction. There are 2 ways to Treat this. One is lifestyle modification and regular medication and other is surgical or endoscopic fundiplication. 5 years symptoms relief is slightly better with medication compared to surgical arm.
