Patch on hair scalp
I figured out a patch on scalp some one month ago. I need to find out a reason for the same, as one of my colleagues told me something about hair fungus infection. I have only one patch as of now and it's not ichy. Though I have dandruff issues mainly during winters and acute hair fall issue. Please guide me what to do next.

Is it a patch of hair loss - or a bald patch? - If yes then I guess u are talking of alopecia areata - this usually starts off as well circumscribed spots of baldness and is an autoimmune condition. This is treatable and controllable. You'll require multiple sessions of intra-lesional injections and regular use of creams and lotions till regrowth of hair is seen. See a qualified dermatologist near you. Caution: Make sure you see a qualified MD / DNB/ DVD dermatologist for all your skin and hair issues. Don’t be lured in by quacks. Know your treating doctor/ discourage quackery!Warm regards, Dr Govind Suresh Mittal. Bengaluru
