Patch of hair loss above both the ears
I have a patch of baldness over my left and right ear. The patch is oval and completely bald. It's been there for last 4 years. I tried a lot of things earlier but it doesn't go away. I haven't done anything for it for last 2 years. It seems that it is gradually growing now.

You may be having alopecia areata. this is an autoimmune condition due to the attack of lymphocytes against hair roots. It results in the formation of bald patches on the scalp. It can affect any hairy area of the body also like eyebrows and beard. It has to be treated properly for long duration until the immunity comes down.
