Hello, going through what u have told it is a cerebro vascular accident. Patients with risk factors like old age, hypertension, diabetes, smoking , alcohol will have risk for formation of clots in brain. Kindly consult a general physician or Neuro physician. he needs admission and has to be managed inpatient for 4-5 days. He needs to be stared on physiotherapy as aggressive physiotherapy yeilds good results. The return of power depends upon location and size of the clot..but highest chance of recovery lies in first 6 weeks, so diabetes and bp should be controlled and physiotherapy is main..
