My patient experienced hypokalemic periodic paralysis. Why was she prescribed with pantoprazole when pantoprazole lowers potassium levels even more? Please respond, thank you!

Hello there I can understand your concern. If you are the treating doctor, then please tell me what are you doing about her? Why haven't you educated her not to take any random medicines. People just post half of the question here. They don't mention they are suffering from something in particular. It's not necessary that someone would have prescribed from here. The patient would have taken from pharmacy near her. Take proper history and educate pateint properly.
