Painful motion after piles surgery
I had stapled hemorrhoid surgery five days ago. I have to go to the toilet four to five times a day, and it's very painful. This pain subsides after a sitz bath. I can't sit for long and can only walk from one room to another. Is this all normal? When will this heal?

Painful defecation in the immediate post operative period is common due to the inflammation around the operative site.
Sitz bath helps relax the sphincters and reduce inflammation hence subsiding the pain.
The pain usually starts settling within the first 1 week and return to normalcy can be expected in 2-3 weeks
