Pain/soreness in throat
I have noticed quite a time that thr bone just below(diagonally), it feels like a lumpy bone(so i dnt know its name, maybe hyoid or m not sure). Feels sore sometimes and pain to touch. Also sometimes when i catch cold, it becomes really sore, even drinking water becomes painful. Is it any kind of infection? Or thyroid problem? Please help me

During cold the lymph nodes in the neck (around the hyoid bone too) enlarge due to infection & can be painful to touch. However since the lump is persisting it needs to be examined and treated accordingly.
