My mom has severe pain in her thumb for last 6 months... Not able to move it... Not much of swelling though. Could you please suggest if its neurosurgeon case or ortho... Please let me know if more info reqd.

Better to get a X-ray done plus one thumb ultrasound... to rule out inflammatory process till that is done take any NSAID ( diclofenac 50mg sos)... contact with reports

Hello....... Neurosurgeon is not necessary for thumb pain , it could be tenosynovitits or pulp infection (FELION), or paronychia nail infection, consult general surgeon or orthopedic surgeon in nearest hospital... Doctor will examine and do needfull...
