Pain in my left testicle. Do you think?

Hello. I'm 20, Male. As the title suggests I have an occasional pain in my left testicle. It's not severe or acute but I can feel it when I touch my testicle. Normally it goes away in like 20-30 odd minutes. It gets swollen and turns red. I take ibuprofen and place an icebag on my private area to relieve the pain. And also, whenever I feel pain I get this weird sensation and when I touch the uh area, I am feel my testicle is split in half. It goes back to normal when the pain goes away in a while. I'm not engaged in any sexual activity right now fyi I'll get an ultrasound done today to see if there's anything wrong. The doctor said it could be bacterial infection. i.e. Epididymis. I know next to nothing about it so I did a quick Google look up and figured my situation resembles to that the symptoms of Epididymis. I don't think it's torisn. Because I don't have a sharp pain, nor cold/nausea etc. What do you think?
