When u know that pain occurs after smoking why do not u quit smoking? as u know smoking cause lung cancer n chronic cough called smoker's cough, u better quit smoking from now onwards.to know exact reason of yr chest pain n pain under yr sternum 1st get x ray chest done,n then avoid eating hot n spicy food n take any good antacid like pentaprazol or smilar.also drink milk, eat banana n icecream or its milk shke which will give rilief to yr pain under yr sternum bone as it could be due to hyperacidty as lot of smoking may cause such kind of pain n cough.Stop smoking immidiately to start with.
