My mother took her Covid vaccine first shot 6 months ago, she experienced some pain at the injection site for few days and some discoloration happened at the injection site, lite black color and it stayed like that for the past 6 months, there seems to no swelling, or puss. But she gets pain when we press at the injection site or when she does some intense work with that hand. The discoloration is not increasing, it is like what it was from the beginning. If we don't press there isn't much pain, only when we press or when she does intense work she experiences pain in the whole left hand. Please check the attached photograph.
Please advise on what can be done. Is it a serious issue if so how do we proceed.

Six months is too long a period for all injection pains to disappear. Since she still has this problem she should put this arm through all the movements which an arm can take. By movements it will facilitate blood circulation and all histamine that could be present in that part of the body will dissipate.
