Pacemaker surgery cardiology
A cardiologist in medanta hospital has confirmed pacemaker surgery for my mother inlaw. One of our relatives recently died after pacemaker surgery. So we are really scared. What's the success rate of this surgery? Does it lead to many complications post surgery? Can a person live a normal after this surgery? Pls help..

I am sorry to hear about your relative. It's an unfortunate event as pacemaker surgery carries low risk with good success rate. However it depends upon the underlying condition, other comorbid conditions patient is suffering from. Hence, I would like to know more details about your mother in law.
Next Steps
Contact me with details - complaints of your mother in law, ECG. Echo cardiography report. Holter if done.
