Oxygen saturation won't come up 89-91%
I was undergoing a surgery in general anaesthesia. Even after giving 100% oxygen, saturation remained at 89-91%. I am a smoker(4-5 in a day) and also overweight (90kg, 5.8inch). Doctor cancelled my surgery and recommended to visit General Physician. Please recommend the solution.

Hello..... Saturation should be 100%..but variation is normal.. Saturation below 90 is considered low otherwise it's OK..  General physician  or pulmonologist evaluate for the cause of low saturation...  Normal  function test  gives way for surgery..  PFT may be required....
