What is the problem of otoscerolosis.having any future complications of this disease.with out treatment. Either we go for surgery ( stapedotomy).After sucess of surgery how long we Hear better.what is the cost of surgery (stepedotomy ) in india.

Hello there we understand you feeling and your condition too. See you need to understand the severity of every disease each of it has there own way of expression. In future you may loose your hearing function in that particular ear. And you may get giddiness ans balancing problem if you don't go for the surgery. It is one time treatment for life time you would have no complications after that if the surgery went on well.vans the price of it would differ from one doctor to another. Thank you

About 10 to 15 years by when the disease(OTOSCLEROSIS) IS AN INCURABLE DISEASE AT THE PRESENT) progresses into the cochlea rendering you stone deaf. Alternatively opt for good hearing aids instead and you may get another decade of hearing as studies have shown that surgery accelerates the progression of Otosclerosis.
