Oral thrush in infants
Hi doctor, I'm the mother of 5 months old baby girl. My baby had oral thrush last month and was initially treated with gentian violet solution for 3 weeks. Since the infection still persist, then she was treated with candid for a week and the symptoms disappeared and the treatment was stopped almost 2 weeks back. Now my baby has cold and cough ,so my mother started rubbing her tongue with the figure so as to remove the mucus frm tongue. And from couple of days the symptoms of thrush has reappeared.. Please advice on this.. Can I start using candid mouth paint again ? And can I give her bifilac powder to improve the healthy bacteria in her??

Please don't try to clean tongue with finger in 5 month old child. It is not required.  You can  apply zytee gel before putting  candid mouth paint.  You can repeat bifilac as well.
