I have had for a while, (5,6,7 years?) some issue w. oral & sinus. First, I have some over-production of mucus/post nasal drip/ sinus irritation. Since I constantly have a flow of mucus and need to spit it up, my mouths always smelling bad, even if I brush my teeth. I ALWAYS have to have gum/mints to mask the smell of my breath, and I hate talking up close. Also, gums smell when I floss - periodontal problem too? Dentist said all was OK. Him & ENT prescribed nasal drip spray but it did nothing.

You seem to be suffering from chronic rhinosinusitis which is a common type of chronic nose infection. You may need to undergo diagnostic nasal endoscopy and CT scan of paranasal sinuses to confirm the diagnosis. Once the diagnosis is confirmed treatment can be planned
Next Steps
Consult nearby ENT specialist for confirmation of diagnosis and appropriate treatment if required
