Oily navel with smell

In my navel sometimes during the night time i have oily feeling inside and it is smelly when i touch it. I wash it every morning. There is no liquid exactly but it feels oily and sticky sometimes. What is the reason is it natural and common?

Smelly discharge from the navel could be for many reasons: From poor hygiene to an infective cause deep within.
