Hello there, It's understandable to be afraid of taking medicines for long periods, especially when there is internet and perhaps other acquaintances who casually mention how dangerous taking medicines can be. Before any medicine is prescribed, it's analysed as to whether the benefits of taking those medicines outweigh the possible risks or side effects of the medicine. Considering ur prescription, Zapiz, Modafinil and Zolcalm (in that order) are carrying risks of addiction-more rightly called 'Dependence' . Any possible short term or long term side effects can be picked up by ur treating doctor during ur regular clinic visits and steps can be taken to reduce it.
Next Steps
With such a long history of illness, other forms of treatment are less likely to benefit u, but u should try Behaviour Therapy (BT), when BT is practiced effective it can help u reduce the drugs u need to b symptom free.
Health Tips
Try to avoid taking Zolcalm on daily basis, also use Modafinil, Zapiz only when really needed. instead u should practice sleep hygiene if ur having difficulty sleeping. Sleep hygiene coupled with a good physical workout, gives a boost to ur sleep pattern. Regards Dr Vijendra
