Occasional confusion
My father get sometime confused whether it is evening or morning after wake-up from sleep. Whether this is for sodium fall or a common phenomenon in old age? He is 82 years old.

Hyponatremia can cause it. Or any infection like viral urine can lead to confusion. In late age dementia also need to consider for confusion.
