Numbness in right pointer fingertip
A few weeks ago I was playing basketball. I went to block a shot under the hoop and got my right index finger caught in the net. Even since then I have experienced numbness in the fingertip of this same finger. I am assuming it is a damaged nerve. I remember a dentist telling me when I got my wisdom pulled that there is a chance while getting this procedure done I can damage a nerve in my face and lose feeling forever in that area. Will I ever lose the numbness in my fingertip?

Most nerve injuries are greatly exaggerated. U need to relax. Compression on the nerve is usually temporary. If you feel the need to confirm it, visit us for a nerve conduction study. That way we ‘ll know for sure.
