Background of this EEG record consist of well formed 9-111Hz, alpha waves over the posterior head regions, reacting normally to eye opening. There are paroxysms of generalized polyspikes seen in the record. Hyperventilation and photic stimulation are unremarkable. There are occasional electrode and movement artefacts seen. Impression: This EEG record is abnormal and is suggestive of generalized epileptiform discharges. What does this mean? Can anyone assist.
