Not getting smell/ sniff
My wife is unable to get any smell/ sniff. Few years back, she suffered by small chicken pox and there after she is unable to detect any smell. In between, Occasionally she gets the smell for 1-2 days and again backs to earlier position. This happened only 3-4 time in a year. We are serching for any sutable suggests. So, pls suggest us what to do to get normal position Thank you.

Following viral infections there are incidences of hyposmia (diminished smell sensation ) and anosmia ( absent smell sensation). These conditions should be immediately treated with  steroid nasal spray. Hyposmia have better chances of cure than anosmia. As your wife is suffering for several years she should be clinically examined to ascertain  whether she will benefit from treatment.
