Hi... I had a vaginal delivery on July 12th at 41 weeks of my baby but he has been in ICU since then due to low spo2 level. Chest x-ray and echo were done and all seems to be good. he was kept on CPAP on 12th but removed since then but on 14th, he has been put nasal prongs with 100% oxygen at 0.1ml. They have tried removing it twice but his Spo2 falls below 90 within few minutes of doing that. What could be causing this and what can I expect in near future.

Any history of meconium aspiration at birth( baby passes stool at time of delivery or inutero) need to be know. If meconium aspirated some may develop PPHN and prolonged O2 dependent
